hardware wallets are the best solution to protect your crypto. I would even say that using it QubesOS or tails, would be the most ideal, paired with a view only wallet that supports connecting to your own node and tor connections.

i can't really give my reccomendation to a hardware wallet.

my only suggestion is pick a wallet that is open source, has a good track record of security, audits and protecting users information.

make sure to fake your name and information on the packaging. i would say its a hard (imo) for them to accept monero.
